SALISBURY, Md. – The Salisbury University men's soccer team closed out a flawless weekend as victors of the Elmer Lord Memorial Tournament by securing a 5-0 victory on Saturday afternoon against Albertus Magnus College inside the Gerry DiBartolo Sea Gull Soccer Complex.
The Sea Gulls (2-0-1) held firm control of the affair from the start, taking eight of the nine shots in the early going. Salisbury's first tally came
when Brayden Dull drew a foul inside the box from Falcons' (1-2-0) keeper, Patrick Cavalieri.
Peter Beil took the honors of drilling the penalty kick into the onion bag to get SU on the board with just over a minute remaining in the first segment.

Liam Pierce for a right-footed finish, extending the lead to two. Johnson set up
David Brunetti moments later for a header that found the netting to give the Sea Gulls a 3-0 lead.
After an Albertus Magnus yellow card,
Dale Gordon lined up a free kick from outside the box and delivered a strike off his left boot over the Falcon wall and into the back of the net.
The Sea Gulls would go on to cap off the offensive explosion by picking up another score to complete a four-goal run in 13 minutes.
Conor Moran tried a shot from outside the box that glanced off the crossbar and into the direction of
Jake Trama, who tapped in SU's fifth of the afternoon.

- David Brunetti rounded out a dominant two-goal, one-assist weekend with a goal on four shots taken.
- Zach Johnson added two helpers to his first career goal yesterday.
- Dale Gordon recorded his fifth career goal and made his 57th consecutive start.

- Jake Trama collected his third career score.
- Peter Beil converted on his first collegiate penalty kick.
- Nate Jones made one save 74 minutes before Will Noble closed out the match as the Sea Gulls' keeper.
- Salisbury won the Elmer Lord Memorial Tournament for the second time in program history and boasted an 8-0 goal differential over two matches played.
The Sea Gulls head to St. Mary's City, Maryland, to participate in the Seahawk Classic on Saturday and Sunday. SU will face Lehman on Saturday at 4:30 p.m. inside Jaime L. Roberts Stadium.
