SALISBURY, Md. - The top-ranked Salisbury University men's lacrosse team posted its largest margin of victory this season with a 26-1 victory over Capital Athletic Conference foe Hood College here on Monday afternoon.

Salisbury (9-0, 4-0 CAC) had 13 different goal scorers in the victory, led by sophomore Kylor Berkman who scored four goals and three assists. Senior attackman Eric Bishop and junior attackman Greg Titus also netted four goals apiece in the win.

The win caps a month long home stand where the Gulls were a perfect 8-0 and extended their home win streak to 51 games and their regular-season win streak to 56. Four times during the home stand SU outscored its opponents by 20 or more goals. The Sea Gulls outscored their opponents 171-34 during the home stand.

This was the first-ever meeting between the two schools. Hood College joined the conference this season and started its program in 2005.

The Sea Gulls scored the game's first five goals before a slashing penalty on SU allowed Hood to crack the scoreboard on a man-up opportunity. Junior midfielder Jason Anderson took a Will Oconis feed and beat Sea Gull goalie Max Zarchin with a shot to put the Blazers (0-8, 0-3 CAC) on the board.

The rest of the game belonged to Salisbury as the Gulls scored the game's final 21 goals. SU played all 46 players suited up for the game. The Sea Gulls out shot the undermanned Blazers 68-7. Salisbury won 23-of-30 faceoffs and scooped up 67 groundballs in the win.

Hood committed 42 turnovers in the loss. Junior goalie Sam Hofmann made 18 saves for the Blazers.

This game was originally scheduled to be played in Frederick, Md., but got moved to the Eastern Shore due to poor field conditions from inclement weather.

Salisbury is off for spring break and will return next week to face York (Pa.) College on the road in another conference game.
