SALISBURY, Md. - The Salisbury University
women's tennis team played host to Eastern Shore rival Washington
College on Sunday but came up short 6-3 in defeat.
Washington swept the doubles matches to start off the match.
Salisbury rallied to split the six single matches against the
Shorewomen.
Salisbury (0-3) received its first win from No. 3 sophomore
Anna Marie Kable who beat Lydia Bull in three
sets, 3-6, 7-5, 10-6. Sophomore Hannah Parsons
(7-5, 7-5) and freshman Kelly Fahrner (6-4, 6-4)
each won in straight sets.
SU will host Division I program and neighbor University of
Maryland Eastern Shore at 3 p.m., Wednesday, March 7. The Sea Gulls
won last season's meeting, 9-0.
