Box Score SALISBURY, Md. – The No. 17-ranked
Salisbury University men's soccer team picked up a 3-0 Capital
Athletic Conference victory over visiting St. Mary's (Md.) College
on Saturday afternoon at Sea Gull Stadium.
The Sea Gulls (10-0-2, 3-0-0 CAC) appeared to get on the board
early in the contest, as junior midfielder Morgan Hunt
sent in a nice cross from the right sideline which connected with
the head of senior forward Ben DeLisle
and into the net, but was called back for offsides. It didn't take
long for Salisbury to net its first goal, as senior forward
Mike
Napolitano collected the ball at midfield and sent a
perfectly placed low line-drive to the top-left corner of the
18-yard box, which junior forward Stafford
Chipungu flicked over St. Mary's goalkeeper Paul
Spranklin (four saves) and into the net.
Salisbury netted its second goal in the 30th minute as senior
defender Justin
Lambert served in a free kick from the left side of
the 18-yard box. Senior midfielder Dave
Corrigan one-touched the ball to the back post where
sophomore forward Phil
Bucheimer slotted the ball home for the 2-0 lead.

narrow 2-1 corner kicks advantage.

were a combined 15 fouls called and four yellow cards issued to St.
Mary's (2-7-1, 1-3-0 CAC). The Sea Gulls wrapped up their scoring
in the 80th minute, as Lambert stood over a free kick from 35 yards
out on the left side of the field. The Silver Spring, Md., native
sent a cross to the back post, where sophomore midfielder
Jimmy
Mundy redirected the ball to the near post and in for
his first goal of the 2010 season.
For the match, Salisbury held a 19-6 shots advantage and earned
five corner kicks, compared to just two for St. Mary's. Sophomore
