FREDERICKSBURG, Va. – The Salisbury University women's tennis team completed its Virginia swing with a pair of wins over Methodist and Franklin & Marshall as part of the Eagle Indoor Invitational at Mary Washington.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Salisbury vs. Methodist
- Salisbury swept the doubles matches. Veronica Cuellar and Annika Kezman teamed up in No. 1 doubles to earn an 8-2 win over Abby Caddick and Taylor Jackson.
- Laura Brown and Jordan Schaefer cruised to an 8-1 win in No. 2 doubles over Jill Lawrence and Sydni Lewis.
- Sydney Soto and Katherine Tamesis picked up an 8-5 win in the third matchup over Jillian Garrett and Bri Rado.
- Cuellar, Brown and Tamesis, Hannah Baxter and Sarah Dover all tallied wins in their individual singles matches.
- Cuellar, Brown and Tamesis each rolled to two-set sweeps in singles action.
- After taking down their opponents in the first set, Baxter and Dover each battled in the second set to collect the win. Baxter took down Megan Kidd in No. 5 singles, 6-1, 7-5, while Dover went to the tiebreaker with Valeria Matute in No. 6 singles and toughed out a 6-0, 7-6(3) win.
Salisbury vs. Franklin & Marshall
- Similar to the matchup with Methodist, Salisbury swept the doubles matchups.
- Kezman and Cuellar and Tamesis and Soto each won their respective doubles matches, 8-3.
- Schaefer and Brown swept Skye Victor and Sammi Perry with an 8-0 victory in No. 2 doubles.
- Cuellar notched a 6-1. 6-0 win in No. 2 singles over Hayley Bidwell.
- Soto secured a 6-3, 6-0 victory in No. 4 singles against Victor while Baxter recorded a 6-1, 6-3 win in the sixth matchup against Alex D'Angelo.
- Kezman and Brown all went to a third-set tiebreaker in their matches but stumbled in the tiebreaker.
MATCH NOTES
- Veronica Cuellar earned four wins on the day.
- The tandems of Cuellar/Kezman and Soto/Tamesis finished the weekend with a perfect 3-0 record.
