SALISBURY, Md. – The Salisbury University women's tennis team pushed its season-opening win streak to three with an 8-1 win over Catholic on Friday.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The No. 1 doubles team of Veronica Cuellar and Katherine Tamesis fell behind 2-1 early to Liv Sensenbrenner and Brooke Simonson but rattled off seven-straight points to take the 8-2 win.
- The teams of Sarah Dover and Elizabeth Christine, and Hannah Carter and Sarah Cooper each rolled to 8-0 sweeps in No. 2 and No. 3 doubles respectively.
- Tamesis, Christine and Zeca Eze continued the momentum from the doubles matches with 6-0, 6-0 sweeps in No. 2, No. 3 and No. 6 singles respectively.
- Cooper and Carter also picked up sweeps in No. 4 and No. 5 singles. Cooper tallied a 6-2, 6-0 win in fourth singles while Carter cruised to a 6-0, 6-1 win in fifth singles.
- Dover fought back from a 6-4 first set loss to tie the match at one and force the super tiebreaker with a 7-6 come-from-behind win in the second set against Brooke Simonson. The third-set tiebreaker went against Dover as she fell 10-6 in the final set.
