MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. – The Salisbury University men's and women's track and field teams brought strong showings to day two of the Alan Connie Shamrock Invitational on Friday in Myrtle Beach.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Men
- Declan Burke earned a podium finish in the mile run, taking second in a time of 4:36.67. Charlie Koeneke (4:52.26) finished 16th in the event.
- Cameron Hasko took third place in the javelin throw, clearing 57.36 meters.
- Jacob Shelton qualified for Saturday's finals in the 100-meter dash, finishing third in the prelims in a time of 11.10 seconds.
- Christian Ciattei finished 10th in the 800-meter run in 2:00.92.
- Matt Grossi and Austin Foote both set personal bests in the 5,000-meter run, with Grossi (15:30.40) finishing 16th and Foote (15:52.95) 27th.
