Box Score FREDERICKSBURG, Va. – The second-ranked Salisbury University women's lacrosse team rebounded after back-to-back losses with a 15-7 road victory on Saturday over the Mary Washington Eagles to open Coast-to-Coast Athletic Conference (C2C) play.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- After both teams traded possessions for the first few minutes, Erin Scannell sparked a 3-0 run to start the game for the Sea Gulls.
- Mary Washington stifled the run with a goal from Samantha Stachowiak at the 5:44 mark of the first.
- Salisbury answered with two quick goals from Lydia McNulty and Meridith Price to close out the first quarter with a 5-1 lead.
- The Sea Gulls extended their run to three after Emma Skoglund ripped a shot past the keeper just a minute into the second quarter.
- The Eagles converted a free position shot on the following possession to cut into the lead and make it 6-2 with 12:38 remaining in the half.
- McNulty converted a free position to extend the lead to 7-2 with five minutes left in the second.
- After Rachel Oestrike scored for Mary Washington with just over 3:30 left in the half, Salisbury closed out the second quarter on a 3-0 run with two Scannell goals sandwiched by a McNulty unassisted tally to give SU the 10-3 lead at halftime.
- The Sea Gulls continued the run into the second half and pushed their lead to double-digits five minutes into the third. Leah Vilov capped the six-goal run with back-to-back goals less than two minutes apart to give SU the 13-3 lead.
- The Eagles stopped the run with a goal from Erin Steinberg midway through the third before scores from Anna Robinson and Lily Cavallaro gave the Sea Gulls their largest lead of the day, 15-4, at the end of the third.
- Mary Washington chipped away at the SU lead with three goals in the fourth but that was all the Eagles could manage and the Sea Gulls cruised to a 15-7 victory.

- Kayla Sarazin dished out two assists.
- Sarzin and Meridith Farley each recorded game-high four draw controls.
