The 2023-24 Salisbury University women's basketball team will play under a brand-new administration. Aprile Preller ‘19 was hired as the Sea Gulls’ new head coach in May after four successful seasons as an assistant coach at Marymount (Va.), during which the Saints won three Atlantic East Conference (AEC) regular season titles and qualified for the NCAA Tournament twice.
Preller inherits an SU squad that went 7-19 in 2022-23 but is two years removed from a 20-win season and an NCAA Tournament berth in 2021-22. With a robust freshman class of six joining a cast of eight returners, the Sea Gulls will look to return to their perch as one of the region's most consistent programs, having posted winning records in 20 of the past 29 seasons since 1994-95.
