PRINCETON, N.J. - The No. 2 Salisbury University field hockey team earned another top-five win by taking down No. 3 Williams College 1-0 Saturday afternoon at Bedford Field.
The game-winning goal for the Sea Gulls came in the second period of action when
Kaitlyn DeModna found
Marli McDorman off a penalty corner set. That was
DeModna's seventh assist on the season and
McDorman's seventh goal.
The top-five clash was a defensive battle in which Salisbury created many more chances than Williams. The Sea Gulls totaled 13 shots compared to just four shots for Williams. Salisbury also created seven penalty corners compared to just one for Williams.
