SALISBURY, Md. - The No. 2 Salisbury University field hockey program picked up another top-10 victory taking down No. 8 York (Pa.) 1-0 Wednesday night inside Sea Gull Stadium on their annual Corners for Cancer game.
Salisbury found the game-winning goal in the third quarter off a penalty corner set when
Marli McDorman blasted a shot past the York (Pa.) goalie off an assist from
Regan Nacrelli.
The Sea Gulls out-shot the Spartans 7-4 in the first half as the teams headed into halftime scoreless. Salisbury continued that momentum into the second half out-shooting York (Pa.) 5-2 in the second.
