SALISBURY, Md. – The Salisbury University men's swimming team capped the 2024 portion of its schedule with four pool records and a 167-67 win over the St. Mary's (Md.) Seahawks on Saturday afternoon at the Maggs Pool.
MEET NOTES
- Mason Potts continued his sensational freshman campaign with two more gold medals and a team-high 18 points. Potts won the 50-meter freestyle (23.55) and 50-meter backstroke (25.66).
- Brody Hanlon took home a gold in the 50-meter breaststroke (30.20) and a silver I the 100-meter individual medley (1:00.77).
- Brady Wolf garnered two gold medals, including a solo gold in the 100-meter breaststroke (1:04.99).
- Lucas Mitchell grabbed three medals, including an individual gold in the 100-meter butterfly (59.86) and a bronze in the 50-meter backstroke (28.42).
- Aidan Loehr took home a solo title in the 100-meter IM (1:00.11) as part of a two-gold medal day.
- The Sea Gulls swept a trio of relays during the afternoon. In the 400-meter medley, Mitchell, Wolf, Christopher Knorr, and Owen Brewer secured gold with a time of 3:54.57.
- In the 200-meter freestyle relay, Mark Dattilio, Themo Rigakos, Loehr, and Michael DeSimone earned the title in 1:36.57. DeSimone (23.48) held the best split of the quartet.
- The 800-meter free relay saw Shane Hall, Matt Merke, Kyle Skelly, and Shad Frantz roll to a 8:01.28 mark that was nearly 21 seconds faster than their next-closest competitors. Merke (1:59.66) claimed the best split of the bunch.
- Salisbury wrapped up the day with 24 medals, claiming 14 gold, five silver, and five bronze.

The Sea Gulls now head into their winter break and will return to action with a two-day meet at Stevens on Friday and Saturday, Jan. 17-18, in Hoboken, N.J.
