The Salisbury University men's basketball team chases its third conference championship and its first since the 2014-2015 season at the 2024 Coast-to-Coast Athletic Conference Championship, hosted by the University of Mary Washington Eagles at the William M. Anderson Center in Fredericksburg, Va. The Sea Gulls take on the Warren Wilson College Owls in the first round of the tournament on Thursday, Feb. 22 with tip-off scheduled for 7 p.m.

Salisbury finished the regular season with a 13-12 overall record, logging the most wins in a season in the tenure of head coach Mo Williams. The Sea Gulls defended the nest ferociously this season, finishing 7-1 with a one-point defeat as the lone blemish.
After a season-opening defeat, the Sea Gulls went on a three-game win streak, including a 97-63 trouncing of Penn State Abington that saw the team make 14 three-pointers, the most in a single contest for the program since Nov. 9, 2019.
Salisbury dropped three of the next four but righted the ship quickly, rattling off four straight victories including an 80-74 decision over Gettysburg. In that win over the Bullets, the upperclassman duo of Cameron Heard and Jordan Oates combined for 51 points on Saturday, the most for a Sea Gull duo since Greg Bloodsworth and Brandon Craig combined for 60 points against Hood College on Nov. 16, 2022.
The Sea Gulls broke a late-season slump in impressive fashion in the regular season finale, besting No. 20 Christopher Newport by a 71-55 decision to pick up the program's first win over the C2C foe since 2016.

Warren Wilson wrapped the regular season with a 3-22 overall record, closing the campaign on a 12-game losing streak.
The last win for the Owls came on Jan. 12, a 91-85 victory over Trinity College (Fla.).
Warren Wilson is led by senior forward Antonio Banuelos and sophomore guard Dylan Wheatley. Banuelos ranks fifth in the conference in both scoring and rebounding, averaging 14.0 points and 6.5 rebounds per game. Wheatley ranks eighth in the league in scoring averaging 12.3 points. Banuelos was picked for the 2024 All-C2C Second Team.

This is the first ever meeting between the Sea Gulls and Owls, who will be traveling from Swanannoa, N.C. to Fredericksburg.

The winner of the Salisbury-Warren Wilson matchup gets a shot at the second-seeded Eagles of the University of Mary Washington. Salisbury's two losses to UMW this season were decided by a combined eight points.
Salisbury is seeking its third conference championship in program history. The Sea Gulls reached the semifinals last season under fifth-year head coach Mo Williams and aim to take the next step in 2024.

For the second consecutive season, senior forward Jordan Oates was recognized as the C2C Scholar-Athlete of the Year and is the first- and second-ever recipient for the Salisbury Men's Basketball program. Oates put together a campaign for the ages, finishing second in the conference in scoring (16.6) while leading in rebounding (12.6) for the third consecutive season. Oates also excels in the classroom with a 3.66 GPA as a Biomedical Sciences major with a focus on Pre-Dentistry and a minor in Chemistry. The two-time Academic All-District selection has made the dean's list six times while at SU and is a member of the Phi Eta Sigma and Chi Alpha Sigma National Honor Societies.
Junior transfer Reed Rebstock stepped into a significant role in his first season donning the maroon and gold, ranking second on the team and finishing top-10 in the conference in scoring (10.9) while slotting 11th in the league in rebounding (5.3). Rebstock was chosen for the All-C2C Second Team for his efforts in 2023-24.
The backcourt tandem of Brendan Davis and Cameron Heard aided Salisbury throughout the 2023-24 campaign. The pair led the squad in assists, with Davis dishing out 3.2 per game and Heard logging 2.38 per contest. Davis ranks fourth in the conference in the category while Heard slots 11th.
Head coach Mo Williams and his staff were recognized as the 2023-24 “Jeff Gamber” C2C Coaching Staff of the Year. Williams logged a career-high 13 wins and picked up his first full-length winning season (excluding the shortened 2020 campaign) while logging key victories over Gettysburg and reigning national champions No. 20 CNU throughout the year.
Jordan Oates leads the conference in rebounding for the third straight season and ranks fifth nationally at 12.6 boards per game. Oates also sits second in the C2C in scoring, averaging 16.6 points per game, and shares 13th in Division III in double-doubles (14). He ranks fourth in the conference in field goal percentage, making 50 percent of his shots, and seventh in three-point field goal percentage (33.6 percent).
Reed Rebstock earned a spot atop the conference in three-point field goal percentage, hitting 44.3 percent of his treys. He ranks second in the C2C in field goal percentage, hitting 52.9 percent of his looks from the floor, 10th in scoring (11.1), and 11th in rebounding (5.3).
As a team, Salisbury ranks first in the C2C in field goal percentage at 44.5 percent while sitting second in the C2C in scoring (71.4). The Sea Gulls also boast the best shooting clip from beyond the arc at 33.7 percent.
