WASHINGTON, D.C. – The No. 2 Salisbury University field hockey program picked up a 6-1 road win over Catholic University of America inside Cardinal Stadium Wednesday night. Sophomore
Arden Hunteman set the school record in the CAC/C2C era for goals in a game with five.
Hunteman started her scoring in the first quarter scoring two goals in just a three-minute span.
Alayna Gigliotti assisted on the first goal while
Hunteman scored the second off a rebound.bSalisbury (7-1) entered the second period with a 2-0 advantage over Catholic (3-5).
Marli McDorman assisted
Hunteman on her third goal soaring a shot over the goalkeeper's head. Just two minutes later
Regan Nacrelli found the back of the goal off another assist from
Gigliotti.
Hunteman once again scored off a rebound for her fourth goal which at the time tied her career-high. The Sea Gulls headed into half leading 5-0.
Hunteman's record-breaking goal came in the third period as
Madelyn Reed picked up an assist after a penalty corner set for the Sea Gulls.
