ST. MARY'S CITY, Md. - The No. 2 Salisbury University field hockey program used four second-half goals to push past St. Mary's (Md.) 4-1 on Saturday afternoon in JLR Stadium.
Salisbury (8-1) totaled 13 first-half shots with 10 of those coming in the first quarter while St. Mary's (Md.) (2-6) tallied seven shots in the half. Neither team could get the scoring started as the game headed to halftime scoreless.
The Seahawks got on the board first in the third quarter but would only hold on to that lead for eight minutes.
Emma Radebaugh, who scored twice for the Sea Gulls, got the scoring party started tying the game 1-1. Within three minutes, Salisbury scored three goals taking a commanding lead.
Regan Nacrelli scored the goal to take the lead off an assist from
Alex Kupper.
Marli McDorman found the back of the goal next for the Sea Gulls giving them a 3-1 lead headed into the fourth period.
Radebaugh added her second goal of the day in the fourth.
