No. 3 Field Hockey shuts out Oneonta

ONEONTA, N.Y. – The No. 3 Salisbury University field hockey program earned its 10th shutout victory of the 2025 campaign with a 6-0 win over Oneonta Saturday afternoon.

Marli McDorman got the scoring started just over one minute into the ball game off an assist from Morgan Bradford. Just a few minutes later, Kaitlyn DeModna scored off an assist from Caroline Pusey. McKenna Horner then added to the totals, scoring a goal unassisted, giving the Sea Gulls a 3-0 lead at the end of the first quarter of action.

McDorman and Demodna would score again in the second quarter as SU earned a 5-0 lead at the halftime break. SU outshot Oneonta 21-0 in the first half. They also earned six corners and held Oneonta to zero.

In the final quarter of action, Raegen Schmith and Aubrey Jackson-Bowen tallied their first career goals as Sea Gulls. Schmith scored off an assist from Mauren Krauser, while Jackson-Bowen scored unassisted, giving Salisbury the road SUNYAC win 7-0.

  • McDorman now has 12 goals on the season, which surpasses her past two seasons' goal totals with multiple games left to play.
  • Horner now has eight goals on the year and has now back-to-back two-goal games.
  • Salisbury posted 39 total shots along with 16 corners.
The Sea Gulls are right back in SUNYAC action tomorrow when they battle Morrisville at noon from Morrisville, N.Y.
