No. 3 Field Hockey rolls past SUNY Morrisville

MORRISVILLE, N.Y. – The No. 3 Salisbury University field hockey program picked up another road SUNYAC win, 6-0 over SUNY Morrisville Sunday afternoon from Drake Field.

Salisbury (11-2, 3-0 SUNYAC) came out firing, scoring five goals in the first quarter over Morrisville (3-8, 0-3 SUNYAC), cruising to victory.

Kaitlyn DeModna got the scoring started just over three minutes into the game, which was followed by a McKenna Horner goal 27 seconds later. Two minutes later, Morgan Bradford found a goal, which was then followed by a Marli McDorman goal just one minute later.

Tessa Gray scored the final goal of the first quarter of action for SU, as they headed into the second quarter with a 5-0 lead. Elena Weychert went on to score the final goal of the game for the Gulls just two minutes into the final quarter of action.

Game Notes
  • All six goals came from six different Sea Gulls.
  • SU outshot Morrisville 16-2 for the game.
  • The Sea Gulls also earned six more penalty corner chances.
  • Emma Abromavage and Bradford finished with two assists each.
  • Horner and McDorman picked up assists along with their goals. Madelyn Reed also earned an assist for SU.
The Sea Gulls are back home for Senior Day on Saturday, Oct. 25th, when they battle New Paltz at 1 p.m. from Sea Gull Stadium.
