SALISBURY, Md. – The No. 4 Salisbury University field hockey program earned a 6-0 Senior Day win over SUNY New Paltz Saturday afternoon inside Sea Gull Stadium. The Sea Gulls (13-2, 5-0) finished the year undefeated in SUNYAC play during their first year in the league. This was the Hawks' (11-5, 4-1) first loss in conference play.

Morgan Bradford and
Caroline Pusey, along with seniors
Kaitlyn DeModna, Madelyn Reed, McKenna Horner, Mauren Krauser, Kelly Davis, Abbey McIlvain, and
Emma Abromavage.
DeModna got the scoring going with a penalty stroke opportunity and slotted it into the top right corner. This gave SU a 1-0 lead through the first quarter of action.
Just 30 seconds into the second period,
Alex Kupper found a streaking Bradford for the second Sea Gull goal of the game. DeModna would go on to score her second goal of the game in the second quarter, giving SU a 3-0 lead at the halftime break.
The Sea Gulls went on to add three more goals in the second half, with Horner accounting for two of them.
Marli McDorman scored the other goal while also assisting on one of the Horner goals.
Game Notes
- The Sea Gulls outshot the Hawks 34-2. SU posted 21 shots on target.
- Salisbury also posted 10 penalty corners compared to just one for New Paltz.
- Both Davis and McIlvain earned saves in the cage for SU on Senior Day.
The Sea Gulls will play their final home game inside Sea Gull Stadium on Wednesday, Oct. 29
th at 6 p.m. when they take on Rowan.
