Women’s Soccer puts four on All-C2C teams; Wheeler, Spadin named first-teamers

SALISBURY, Md. – The Salisbury University women's soccer team was well-represented in the Coast-to-Coast Athletic Conference (C2C) postseason awards with four student-athletes earning all-conference honors, announced by the league office on Wednesday afternoon.

Ava Wheeler and Brooke Spadin were named to the All-C2C First Team, while Alex Jankowski and Lauren Chesney were placed on the All-C2C Second Team.

Wheeler, a junior from Bel Air, Md., started all 20 matches in the regular season. Wheeler led the team in assists (5) and registered seven points in her past six games. Wheeler eclipsed the 30-point mark for her career with an assist against St. Mary's (Md.)

Spadin, a sophomore from Delmar, Md., transferred into the program after one year at Division I UNC Wilmington and made an immediate impact for the Maroon and Gold, posting three goals and being an integral part of the midfield. Spadin started in 16 of the 18 games she appeared in and scored a game-winner against Gettysburg.

Jankowski, a senior from Baltimore, Md., is a team captain and made the transition from forward to defense. Jankowski still made her presence known offensively, posting a goal and an assist while helping the Sea Gull backline to eight shutouts.

Chesney, a junior from Mount Airy, Md., played alongside Jankowski on defense. Chesney made 19 appearances and started in 16 contests, handing out an assist on Spadin's game-winner versus Gettysburg.

The team has earned 146 all-conference honorees in program history, including 79 first-team picks and 68 second-team choices.

Salisbury opens its run in the 2025 Coast-to-Coast Athletic Conference Championships with a quarterfinal bout against No. 5 seed Johnson and Wales Charlotte on Thursday at 11 a.m. inside the Gerry DiBartolo Sea Gull Soccer Complex.
