Track & Field battles at Patriot Games

FAIRFAX, Va. – The Salisbury University men's and women's track and field teams continued their great indoor season notching numerous personal bests and podium finishes while at the Patriot Games inside George Mason University Fieldhouse.

Women Meet Notes
  • Brooke Hamer earned a 6th-place finish in the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 9.70 seconds.
  • In the 400-meter run, Emma Smyser placed 7th running a time of 1:01.17.
  • Karia Forvil snagged a top-10 finish in the 200-meter run with a time of 27 seconds flat which placed her 9th.
  • Leah Snyder and Savannah Trice both set PRs in the 3000-meter run. Snyder earned a top-15 finish with a time of 11:29.74 while Trice came in at 12:48.60.
  • The 4x400 relay team of Lilly Williams, Marlyse Haack, Karia Forvil, and Emma Smyser earned a 4th-place finish with a time of 4:13.84.
  • The Sea Gulls soared in the long jump placing three in the top four. Marlyse Haack placed 2nd, Mia Hill placed 3rd, and Emma Christman earned a 4th-place finish.
Men Meet Notes The Sea Gulls return to action on Feb. 8th when they head to multiple locations. The final tune-ups before the Coast-to-Coast Indoor Conference Championships will be at the Frank Colden Invitational and the Big Apple Invitational.
