HAMPTON, Va. – The 20th-ranked Salisbury University men's swimming team secured three more bronze medals as it held tight to the third slot at Day 3 of the 2025 New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) Swimming & Diving Championships on Saturday at the Hampton Aquaplex.
The Sea Gulls wrapped the penultimate day of competition with 751 points, well ahead of fourth-place Rowan (611) and within striking distance of second-place Merchant Marine (766). TCNJ (1,163) sits in first place overall.
TOP PERFORMERS
- SU started the day with a bronze medal in the 200-yard medley relay, with Mason Potts, Gabriele Miksa, Owen Brewer, and Michael DeSimone combining for a program-record mark of 1:29.26.
- Potts added another third-place finish to his portfolio in the 100-yard butterfly, touching up in 48.77 seconds. Christopher Knorr (49.53) finished fifth in the event.
- Shane Hall earned SU's third bronze of the day in the 200-yard freestyle, finishing in a time of 1:40.69. Brewer (1:41.59) took sixth in the event.
- Ethan Lloyd (4:01.17), Matt Merke (4:04.14), and Brody Hanlon (4:04.79) finished sixth, seventh, and 10th, respectively, in the 400-yard individual medley.
- Brady Wolf (56.34) touched up eighth in the 100-yard breaststroke, with Miksa (56.90) rolling in ninth and Aidan Loehr (57.48) in 10th.
- Lucas Mitchell gave Salisbury a top-10 finish in the 100-yard backstroke, taking ninth in 51.64 seconds.
The Sea Gulls will take their final laps in the pool at the fourth and final day of the NJAC Championships on Sunday. Prelims are set to begin at 9:30 a.m. with finals at 5 p.m.
