The Salisbury University track & field program wrapped up its 2024-25 indoor regular season with student-athletes competing at the Frank Colden Invitational in Collegeville, Pa., and the Big Apple Invitational in Staten Island, N.Y.
These were the final tune-ups before the teams head to Newport News, Va. for the Coast-to-Coast Indoor Conference Championships on Feb. 21
st and 22

Frank Colden Invitational Meet Notes
Women
- Emma Smyser finished tied for 1st in the pole vault with a PR of 10 feet. Smyser also placed 3rd in the 400-meter race and 5th in the 200-meter.
- Arieon McKoy placed 7th in the triple jump with a PR of just over 33 feet.
- Savannah Trice earned an 8th-place finish in the 5000-meter run.
- Leah Snyder took 2nd place in the mile with a time of 5:36.22.
- Hayden Adams placed 6th in the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 10.39.
- Madi Sisson earned 2nd place in the 3000-meter run with a time of 11:23.97.
Men
- Logan Aldridge notched a PR in the shot put with a 9th-place finish.
- Ryan Gorman also earned a PR in the high jump with a 3rd-place finish.
- In the 5000-meter run, Landon Lewicki tallied a PR and a 2nd-place finish with a time of 15:36.41.
- Declan Burke earned a season-best time of 4:30.91 in the mile which was good enough for 4th-place.
- In the 400-meter run, Alexander Nelson took 7th place with a time of 53.28. Nelson also placed 6th in the 200-meter.
- Nolan Racette placed 8th in the 200-meter with a time of 23.54.
- In the 800-meter run, Justin Friscia and Rajan Turner both notched PRs. Friscia placed 5th with a time of 2:04.69. Turner placed 7th with a time of 2:05.36.
- Connor Kinch earned a 2nd place finish in the 3000-meter run with a PR of 9:01.00. SU placed three runners in the top eight of this event, all recording PRs. Tristan Dutton had a PR time of 9:06.74 earning him 5th place while Gabe Riling placed 8th with a time of 9:10.53.
Big Apple Invitational Meet Notes
Women
- Peri Nelson placed 11th in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:26.13.
- Karia Forvil grabbed 8th place in the 200-meter dash with a time of 25.88.
- SU placed two top-eight finishes in the long jump with Mia Hill taking 3rd place and Marlyse Haack earning 8th.
Men
- Cormac Moroney placed 7th in the mile run with a time of 4:27.40.
- The Sea Gulls dominated the 400-meter dash placing three runners in the top eight. Dominic Roddy placed 3rd while Isaiah Rivera earned 5th and Hayden Myers took 8th.
- In the 800-meter run, Justin Freeman placed 3rd with a time of 1:56.31 while Graham Schultz finished right behind him in 4th.
- Kai Smith earned a 1st place finish in the 200-meter dash with a time of 21.82.
- Smith also helped the Sea Gull 4x400 relay team take first place with a time of 3:19.46. Along with Smith on the relay were Rivera, Myers, and Roddy.
- Jadon Gaines finished tied for 3rd in the high jump while Jon Alicea grabbed 4th place in the long jump. Alicea went on to finish 3rd in the triple jump while Gaines took 6th.
- SU put three in the top 11 of the shot put. Logan Kelsch earned 8th, Jacob Reeves took 9th, and JJ McCauley snagged 11th.
- Mason Breeze earned a 3rd place finish in the weight throw with a distance of just over 52 feet.
