ROCHESTER, N.Y. - The Salisbury University track & field team saw
Gavin Shaffer and
Kai Smith earn Second-Team All-American honors while competing at the 2025 NCAA Division III Indoor Championships at the Golisano Training Center with Nazareth University and Rochester NY Sports Commission serving as hosts.
Shaffer earned his All-American status in the 60-meter hurdles with a 12th-place finish out of the top 20 runners in the country at a time of 8.14. Smith tallied his All-American honors in the 200-meter, placing 10th out of 20 runners with a time of 21.84.
All-American honors are earned with top 12 finishes; 1st place through 8th earn First-Team while ninth through 16th garner Second-Team honors. Smith and Shaffer will now turn their focus to the outdoor season with their eyes set for Geneva, Oh. where the 2025 NCAA Outdoor National Championships will be held.
