Women’s Golf wraps season at Stevenson Invitational

UPPERCO, Md. – The Salisbury University women's golf team brought an end to its spring season with one final round at the Stevenson Spring Invitational on Monday afternoon at the Piney Branch Country Club.
 
The Sea Gulls shot a 458 as a team, placing eighth in the field and 28 strokes back of seventh-place Goucher (430).
 
ROUND NOTES
  • Emma Wivell paced the Sea Gulls with a 37-over 107, including a par on the first hole of the course, finishing 30th in the field of 39.
  • Cailin McCoy placed right behind Wivell in a tie for 31st, shooting a 39-over 109 with pars on four and 14.
  • In her final round of collegiate golf, senior Isabella Casey posted a 45-over 115, good for 33rd.
  • Madison Tipton shot a 57-over 127 to finish 38th, and Kaeli Newcomb posted SU's drop score with a 62-over 132 for 39th.
 
Salisbury has now completed the 2024-25 women's golf season. The Sea Gulls will join the Colonial Women's Golf Conference (CWGC) as a founding member during the 2025-26 season, with a fall 2025 schedule to be revealed in the coming months.
