NEWPORT NEWS, Va. – The Salisbury University track & field program wrapped up day one of the Coast-to-Coast (C2C) Outdoor Track & Field Conference Championships Friday afternoon, hosted by Christopher Newport University inside TowneBank Stadium.
Mia Hill highlighted day one with a C2C meet record in the long jump, helping the women sit in 2
nd place after day one. CNU sits in first at 72 points, with the Sea Gull women sitting in second with 57 points, well ahead of UC Santa Cruz, who have 22 points.

rd place with 17 points. CNU sits in 1
st place at 70 points, with UC Santa Cruz in 2
nd with 56 points.
Women's Day One Meet Notes
- Hill's meet record in the long jump earned 1st place at 5.78 meters (18-11.75), which places her 14th in the nation. Marlyse Haack placed 3rd at 5.33 meters (17-06.00). Emma Christman and Kennedy Atkins earned 6th and 7th, respectively. Christman posted a jump of 5.16 meters (16-11.25), while Atkins tallied a jump of 5.11 meters (16-09.25)
- Kailey Jarboe earned 2nd in the shot put at 11.16 meters (36-07.50). Lexi Frick also earned points in 5th place at 9.93 meters (32-07.00).
- Jarboe also earned points in the hammer throw with a 3rd place finish at 38.55 meters (126-05). Jenna Weingard placed 6th with a throw of 30.74 meters (100-10).
- Emma Smyser tallied a PR in the pole vault for 1st place at 3.41 meters (11-02.2), which placed her 91st in the nation. Sofia DelRosso-Freeman also tallied points, earning 5th place at 2.68 meters (8-09.50)
- Anna Bodmer struck gold in the 10000-meter run with a time of 39:18.66.
Men's Day One Meet Notes
Day two of the C2C Outdoor Championships is set to begin tomorrow at 11 a.m. inside Townebank Stadium.
