GREENSBORO, N.C. - After another campaign of dependable glove work at the corner bag,
Danny Sheeler of the Salisbury University baseball team was recognized as a member of the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) Region 5 All-Defensive team,
announced by the association last week.
Sheeler, a senior from Towson, Md., boasted a 99.1 percent fielding clip in 2025, recording outs on 427 of his 431 chances with 408 putouts and 19 assists against just four errors. The stalwart first baseman posted a 99.0 percent clip across his three seasons with the Sea Gulls, finishing with 1,256 putouts and assists on 1,269 opportunities across 132 career games.
The 2025 ABCA NCAA DIII Region All-Defensive teams are voted on by members of the ABCA, with the process led by the ABCA DIII All-America & Coach of the Year committee.

Founded in 1945, the American Baseball Coaches Association is the primary professional organization for baseball coaches at the amateur level.
