Williams, Winebrenner selected for CSC Academic All-District

GREENWOOD, Ind. – Two members of the seventh-ranked Salisbury University baseball team – pitcher Cole Williams and catcher Dylan Winebrennerwere selected as 2025 College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District honorees, as revealed by the organization on Tuesday.
 
Williams (So. – Silver Springs, Md.) earns Academic All-District distinction for the first time after posting a 3.907 grade-point average as an Exercise Science major on a Physical Therapy track. A Dean's List honoree in every semester, he regularly volunteers alongside his teammates at Hope and Life Outreach (HALO) Ministries and is a member of the Chi Alpha Sigma national student-athlete honor society.
 
One of the Sea Gulls' "big three" starting pitchers for the year, Williams made 20 appearances (eight starts), boasting a 6-2 record with a 3.69 ERA, two saves, 17 walks, and 48 strikeouts over 68.1 innings. He ranked top-five in the Coast-to-Coast Athletic Conference (C2C) in wins, ERA, strikeouts, and saves, earning All-C2C Honorable Mention for his efforts.
 
Winebrenner (Sr. – Frederick, Md.) garners Academic All-District laurels for the second straight year after posting a 3.578 ERA as a Biology major. Like Williams, he has regularly made the Dean's List at SU, serves as a HALO volunteer, and holds membership in Chi Alpha Sigma.
 
Providing an elite bat and glove from the backstop position, Winebrenner slashed .356/.444/.655 with 14 doubles, four triples, 10 homers, 54 RBIs, 49 runs scored, eight stolen bases, and a 1.099 OPS over all 44 games. He became SU's fifth consecutive C2C Player of the Year and also earned Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Player of the Year laurels, making both the All-C2C and All-ECAC First Teams and earning consensus First-Team All-Region accolades.
 
Select Academic All-District honorees will be nominated for CSC Academic All-America consideration, advancing to a national ballot as voted upon by CSC members. Three teams' worth of honorees will be revealed on Tuesday, July 1.
