Rowan O'Donoghue picked up NJAC Swimmer and Rookie of the Week recognition, respectively.
Owen Mahoney | NJAC Men's Swimmer of the Week | First Career
Mahoney (Fr. – Arnold, Md.) continued his stellar rookie campaign with a pair of gold medals in Saturday's 201-61 dual-meet win at Catholic. Mahoney won the 400-yard individual medley (4:06.52) and 1,000 freestyle (9:35.11), the latter of which established a new Sea Gull program record and sits as the event's top time in the NJAC this season. Mahoney adds a general NJAC award to a pair of Rookie of the Week nods in November and December.
Rowan O'Donoghue | NJAC Women's Swimming Rookie of the Week | Sixth Career
O'Donoghue (Fr. – Newark, Del.) medaled in all four of her events with three golds and one silver to help SU best Catholic 198-62 on Saturday. She picked up solo titles in the 50 free (24.54) and 500 free (5:00.52) while anchoring the first-place 400 free relay (3:35.39) and second-place 200 medley relay (1:48.44) quartets.
