HAVRE DE GRACE, Md. – The Salisbury University men's golf team locked up a top-four finish after the second of two rounds of the Battle at Bulle Rock, hosted by Alvernia University on Tuesday afternoon at Bulle Rock Golf Club.
The Sea Gulls shot a 31-over 319 over the final 18 holes, good for a two-day card of a 54-over 630. Salisbury easily bested Moravian (639) for fourth place, just missing out third to Stevenson (629).
ROUND NOTES
- Ryan Henneman shored up a top-10 finish, shaving three strokes off his opening round and moving up five positions with a three-over 75. Henneman finished in a tie for sixth in the field of 55 individuals with a nine-over 153 for the tournament.
- Colton Thomas nabbed a tie for 10th after shooting a six-over 78, good for an 11-over 155 overall.
- Parker Pruitt carded a nine-over 81 for the day, good for a two-day mark of a 159 to tie for 17th.
- Cole Velardo finished tied for 26th after shooting a 13-over 85 for the round and racking up a 19-over 163 for the week.
- Jack Laur posted the SU drop score of a 21-over 93, finishing tied for 50th after carding an overall 39-over 183.
The Sea Gulls will look to finish the fall slate strong at the Premier Collegiate Tournaments Melee, scheduled for Oct. 18-19 at Williamsburg National Golf Club in Virginia.
