SALISBURY, Md. – Three Salisbury University student-athletes took home Jersey Mike's A Sub Above Players of the Week honors with weekly nods from the Coast-to-Coast Athletic Conference (C2C).
Baseball saw
Jackson Inman and
Aidan Brinsfield sweep the season's first C2C weeklies, while women's lacrosse's
Avery Dunbar netted her way to C2C Offensive Player of the Week.
Jackson Inman | C2C Baseball Player of the Week | Second Career (First This Season)
Inman (So. – Damascus, Md.) slashed .667/.625/.1667 with two doubles, two triples, four runs, and six RBIs in the Sea Gulls' dominant doubleheader sweep of Moravian on Saturday. In Game 1, he bashed a double and two triples, plating four runs and scoring three of his own. In Game 2, Inman belted another double with two more rib-eyes and another run.
Aidan Brinsfield | C2C Baseball Pitcher of the Week | Third Career (First This Season)
Brinsfield [Jr. – Salisbury, Md. (Parkside)] spun six scoreless, hitless innings as part of the Sea Gulls' seven-inning combined no-hitter in Game 2 against Moravian on Saturday. Brinsfield walked two and struck out seven on 83 pitches, while
Cole Williams finished off the no-no with a clean seventh.
Avery Dunbar | C2C Women's Lacrosse Offensive Player of the Week | Second Career (First This Season)
Dunbar (So. – Medford, N.J.) led the Sea Gulls to a pair of wins with 11 points for the week. She recorded a career-high six points (three goals, three assists) in Wednesday's season-opening win at Stevenson. Dunbar then followed up with one goal and four assists for five points at Catholic on Saturday.
