SALISBURY, Md. – Right-handed pitcher
Aidan Brinsfield and third baseman
Jackson Inman of the fifth-ranked Salisbury University baseball team flipped starring roles into spotlights on the
first D3baseball.com National Team of the Week of 2026, as revealed on Wednesday morning.
Brinsfield [Jr. – Salisbury, Md. (Parkside)] makes his second career appearance as a starting pitcher on the Team of the Week (Apr. 24, 2024) after spinning six scoreless, no-hit innings as part of the Sea Gulls' 13-0 victory over Moravian in the nightcap of Saturday's doubleheader. Brinsfield allowed just two baserunners on a pair of walks and struck out seven Grayhound batters, needing just 83 pitches to make it through six frames. Brinsfield then handed the ball off to
Cole Williams for a clean seventh, completing the combined no-hitter.
Inman (So. – Damascus, Md.) also lands on the Team of the Week for the second time in his career (Mar. 19, 2025) following a twin bill that saw him slash .667/.625/1.667 with four extra-base hits, four runs, and six RBIs, accounting for 10 of SU's 43 runs across the two games. Inman went 3-for-4 with a double, two triples, three runs, and four RBIs in the opener, followed by a 1-for-2 performance with a double, run, and two RBIs in the second contest.
This marks the first time Salisbury has put multiple players on
one D3baseball.com Team of the Week since Apr. 24, 2024, when Brinsfield and outfielder
Tim Petrucelli both made the national squad.
Brinsfield, Inman, and the rest of the Sea Gulls will face stiff competition at the D3 Showcase in Greensboro, N.C. over the weekend. SU will battle No. 6 Lynchburg on Friday, No. 3 Denison on Saturday, and Marietta on Sunday.
