GREENSBORO, N.C. – Due to excessive game lengths of the three preceding Friday contests, the fifth-ranked Salisbury University baseball team's schedule at the D3 Showcase has been adjusted.
The Sea Gulls will now play twice on Saturday, facing No. 3 Denison at 10 a.m. and No. 6 Lynchburg at 4:45 p.m. A contest between Christopher Newport and Cortland will be played between the two SU games at 1:15 p.m.
Salisbury was originally scheduled to play Lynchburg in the fourth and final Friday game of the D3 Showcase at First National Bank Field. However, the day's first game at 10 a.m. was delayed by close to an hour due to rain, and the second and third games each exceeded well over three-and-a-half hours in length. Had the Sea Gulls and Hornets played on Friday, the game would have started close to midnight.
