The Salisbury University track and field programs are coming off a very strong indoor season that has yet to conclude. The men's team earned second place while the women placed third at the Coast-to-Coast Indoor Conference Championships. Anna Bodmer was named Female Track Athlete of the Meet on the women's side, while Kai Smith earned Male Track Athlete of the Meet on the men's side for the Sea Gulls. SU has posted multiple school records in the indoor season and still await the final tally of who will all be heading to Birmingham, Al. for the NCAA Division III Indoor National Championships on March 13th-14th. The Sea Gulls posted 24 All-Conference C2C honors this past indoor season, with 16 of those being on the First-Team. Last year at the C2C Outdoor Conference Championships, Salisbury posted 35 All-Conference honors, with 26 of those earning First-Team.
The Sea Gulls open up the outdoor season on Saturday, March 7th, in the friendly confines of the SU Track & Field Complex with the Lloyd Sigler Spring Meet beginning at 11 a.m. They will have three meets before they are back home for the Salisbury University Eastern Shore Challenge, which serves as Senior and Alumni Day. This years C2C Outdoor Championships will be in Fredericksburg, Va., at the University of Mary Washington on May 1st-2nd, where the Sea Gull men last claimed the title. The NCAA Division III Outdoor National Championships will be held in La Crosse, Wi. on May 21st-23rd.
