WASHINGTON, D.C. - The Salisbury University
women's soccer team had little trouble with Gallaudet University on
Tuesday afternoon as the Sea Gulls shutout the Bison, 9-0, on the
road in a Capital Athletic Conference game.
The Sea Gulls (3-3-1, 1-1 CAC) scored early and often against
Gallaudet (2-5, 0-2) as six different Gulls netted a goal against
the Bison. Junior Erin Casey tallied a game high
five points on two goals and one assist, while junior Kate
Weaver and freshman Ally Olewine scored
two goals apiece.
Sophomore Dana Passucci finished the contest
with three points, all coming on assists, and fellow sophomore
Sam Asch added three of her own points on one goal
and one assist.
Salisbury also received a goal from sophomore Amanda
Pizzillo and freshman Erin Rudy. Senior
Meghan Mabey, sophomore Christina
Eury and freshman Colleen Galligan each
added an assist.
The Sea Gulls outshot the Bison 44-0 and had six corner kicks.
Salisbury will return to action at 12:30 p.m., Saturday,
September 30, as they play host to Capital Athletic Conference foe
York College at the SU Soccer Complex.
