SALISBURY, Md. - The Salisbury University men's
tennis team dropped its second match in the past three outings,
5-4, to No. 30 Haverford College on Thursday afternoon in a
marathon match that lasted six hours at the SU Tennis Complex.
The Sea Gulls (12-4) split the singles matches with Haverford
(9-0) as the top three SU players each won their match.
Brendan Kincaid defeated in Alex Buxbaum in three
sets while Scott Burtzlaff and Evan
Thomas won in straight sets.
In doubles action, the team of Kincaid and Burtzlaff defeated
the second ranked team in the region, 8-6, but the number two and
three teams for Haverford were too much for the Sea Gulls.
The Sea Gulls return to action on Sunday, April 8 as they host
No. 21 Johns Hopkins and Capital Athletic Conference opponent
Gallaudet at the SU Tennis Complex.
