Stuhler still undefeated as Sea Gulls fall to Christopher Newport, 7-2

NEWPORT NEWS, Va. – The Salisbury University men's tennis team's four-match win streak came to a halt on Tuesday afternoon as the Sea Gulls fell to Christopher Newport University by a score of 7-2.

Sophomore Henry Stuhler had a hand in both Sea Gull (15-6) victories against the Captains. He teamed up with senior David Lupinetti at No. 2 doubles to earn an 8-3 victory; later, Stuhler came back from a 1-6 first-set loss and responded with 6-1, 6-2 wins in the second and third sets to earn the "W" at No. 4 singles. The Bay Head, N.J., native remains undefeated in singles play this season, boasting an impeccable 15-0 record.

Salisbury now turns its attention to the upcoming Capital Athletic Conference tournament, which begins on April 16. The Sea Gulls' 5-2 conference record currently ranks them third in the CAC.
