Sea Gulls fall to Cal Lutheran, 5-4

THOUSAND OAKS, Calif. – The Salisbury University men's tennis team fell at the hands of California Lutheran University on Wednesday evening, 5-4.

Playing singles first, the Kingsmen (4-5) were able to claim five points to secure the victory. Senior Kelson Weber fell at No. 4 singles to open the contest 6-2, 6-2 before junior Patrick MacLean lost at No. 6 by a 6-3, 6-4 score.

Alec Angradi was defeated at No. 1 by a 6-4, 7-5 score, with junior Colt Williamson dropping a hard-fought 7-6 (7-2), 6-4 contest at No. 3 and sophomore Stefan Hein fell in a three-set affair at No. 5 by a 5-7, 6-3, 6-2 score.

Ian Siew picked up a win at No. 2 for Salisbury (7-4) by a 4-6, 6-4, 6-3 score.

Salisbury swept the doubles matches beginning with an 8-1 win at No. 3 from Weber and junior Matthew Ryan. Angradi and MacLean picked up an 8-4 win at No. 2 before Siew and Williamson earned an 8-7 (7-5) victory at No. 1.

Salisbury will play the last of four matches in California against Trinity (Conn.) College on Thursday, March 21 beginning at 1 p.m., eastern time.
