The Sea Gulls earned four points on the outdoor courts before rain moved in, stalling the match, and forcing completion at the Indoor Tennis Center.

Playing singles first, Salisbury picked up wins from freshman Ryan Santmyer at No. 4 by a 6-0, 6-0 score before classmate Brad Pappalardo took a 6-0, 6-2 win at No. 1. Just before the weather rolled in, sophomore Stefan Hein finished off a 6-1, 6-1 victory at No. 2 and freshman Andrew Kilchenstein claimed a 6-1, 6-2 win at No. 5 for the 4-0 lead.

Once moved indoors, junior Garrett Malave picked up a 6-2, 6-1 victory at No. 3 and junior Ethan Brown closed things out with a 7-6 (7-3), 6-3 win at No. 6 to seal the shutout of the Lions (7-7, 0-3 CAC).

The doubles sweep was finished off by senior Kelson Weber and Pappalardo at No. 1, earning an 8-4 win.

Three singles wins was enough to finish off the match, beginning with a 6-2, 6-0 win by Hein at No. 2. Ryan followed by finishing his No. 3 singles match with a 6-2, 6-0 win and Pappalardo got the final point, winning at No. 1 by a 6-4, 6-2 score.

The Sea Gulls return to action on Saturday, March 6, heading to Southern Virginia University for another CAC contest.
