HOW IT HAPPENED
- Salisbury held the 3-0 lead over Goucher after doubles play. Seventh-ranked Alec Angradi and Ian Siew earned an 8-5 win over Michael Herman and Frankie Mullinix in No. 1 doubles
- Brad Pappalardo and Ryan Santmyer collected an 8-4 win in No. 2 doubles while Patrick MacLean and Stefan Hein picked up an 8-2 win in No, 3 doubles.
- Siew, MacLean, Pappalardo and Hein all earned two-set sweeps in their respective singles matches. Pappalardo battled in No. 4 singles with Brian Kane and gutted out a 7-5, 6-4 victory.
- Garrett Malave had the highlight of the singles matches, battling back from dropping the first set to win the match 5-7, 6-0, 10-5.
- Angradi came back to force a third set to Tetsuya Ota in No. 1 singles but dropped the match 6-3, 2-6, 6-4.
