Men’s Tennis falls in close match with New Jersey City

Box Score SALISBURY, Md. – The Salisbury University men's tennis team fell to the New Jersey City Gothic Knights, 5-4, on Friday.

HOW IT HAPPENED
  • Russell Willenborg and Aron Bursztyn were able to collect the lone doubles win for Salisbury with an 8-3 win over Ryan Weiss and Pedro Caro.
  • Willenborg also picked up a 6-3, 6-2 sweep over Joaquin Pluis in third singles.
  • Christopher Catan and Gavin Reagle also picked up sweeps in their respective singles matches. Catan earned a 7-6(7-1), 6-2 win in fifth singles over Jordi Julia. Reagle blanked Weiss, 6-0, 6-0, in sixth singles.
UP NEXT
  • Salisbury concludes the regular season on Sunday, April 23 against the Stevenson Mustangs.
  • The match is scheduled for a 1 p.m. start at the SU Tennis Center. Before the match, the Sea Gulls will honor their graduating seniors for Senior Day.
