Men’s Golf wraps fall with strong round in Lebanon

LEBANON, Pa. – The Salisbury University men's golf team put a capper on its fall season with a 28-stroke improvement during the final round of the LBC 36-Hole Invitational, hosted by Lancaster Bible on Monday at Lebanon Country Club.

The Sea Gulls shot a 38-over 326 for the day, tied for the third-best team round in the field, finishing with a two-day score of a 104-over 680. That mark moved SU from ninth to seventh in the final standings, seven strokes better than eighth-place Washington College (687) and just one back of sixth-place Penn State Berks (679).

ROUND NOTES
  • Ryan Henneman finished sixth individually, shooting an eight-over 80 in Monday's round for a two-day 15-over 159. Henneman birdied on seven and shot par on eight-of-nine holes on the back nine.
  • Parker Pruitt matched Henneman with an eight-over 80 for the day, tying for 19th in the field with a 22-over 166.
  • Peter Carnegie recorded the Sea Gulls' best round of the weekend with a four-over 76, sinking par on 14 of 18 holes. Carnegie did not factor into the individual leaderboard due to an unscored first round.
  • Ben Bowen shaved six strokes off his day-one performance, shooting an 18-over 90 and slotting tied for 43rd with a 42-over 186.
  • Grant Ferrier posted the SU drop score for the round, a 21-over 93, which tied him with Bowen for 43rd individually (42-over 186).

With the fall 2024 slate in the rearview, the Sea Gulls will break for the winter and prepare for a spring 2025 return to action. The spring schedule will be unveiled at a later date.
