SALISBURY, Md. – The Salisbury University women's soccer team was well-represented in the Coast-to-Coast Athletic Conference (C2C) postseason awards with
Kristen Ging dubbed the Scholar-Athlete of the Year and four student-athletes earning all-conference honors, announced by the league office on Wednesday afternoon.
Autumn Conway was named to the All-C2C First Team, while Ging joined
Ashley Pantano and
Tori Pietuszka on the Second Team.
Ging, a senior from La Plata, Md., boasts a 3.90 grade-point average as an Accounting major with a minor in Enterprise Information Systems. She has made the Dean's List every semester while being a member of the Beta Gamma Sigma Business Honor Society, a three-time C2C All-Academic selection, a 2023 College Sports Communicators Academic All-District choice, and earning both the Perdue School of Business Calafiura Scholarship and the
PCAOB Scholar's Award.
On the pitch, Ging earns her second all-conference selection after starting all 17 matches and dishing out a career-high four assists. The senior midfielder has compiled seven goals and seven assists across 69 career appearances.
Conway, a senior from Bel Air, Md., was stellar as part of a Sea Gull backline that had allowed just 12 goals through its first 15 matches. The program veteran has tallied five career goals and two assists while also making 18 saves and earning a 2-1 record across 60 career appearances in the field and in goal.
Pantano, a junior from Farmingdale, N.Y., earns her third consecutive all-conference selection in 2024, ranking second on the team with 10 points on four goals and a pair of assists across 17 starts. Pantano has scored four or more goals and tallied 10 or more points in each of her first three campaigns, standing as the team's active leader in goals (13) across 55 career appearances.
Pietuszka, a senior from Elkton, Md., started all 17 matches in the Sea Gull midfield in 2024. She scored her first career goal in 2022 and logged her first helper in 2023, appearing in 74 career matches with 66 starts.
The team has earned 142 all-conference honorees in program history, including 77 first-team picks and 66 second-team choices. Ging also represents the program's second-ever Scholar-Athlete of the Year after
Tayah Rendina earned the honor in 2021.
Salisbury opens its run in the 2024 Coast-to-Coast Athletic Conference Championships with a semifinal battle against the third-ranked and top-seeded Captains of Christopher Newport in Santa Cruz, Calif. Kickoff is set for 2 p.m. ET (11 a.m. PT) with a full preview of the tournament coming tomorrow.
