MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. – The Salisbury University track and field teams finished out the three-day Alan Connie Shamrock Invitational with top-10 team scores on Saturday at Doug Shaw Memorial Stadium.
The men's side completed the meet with a seventh-place result, compiling 38 points against a field of 33 competing schools. The Sea Gull women 10th with 27 points against 30 teams at the event.
HOW IT HAPPENED
Men
- A slew of personal records were set in the discus throw as Logan Kelsch placed second at 48.63m (159-06), Mason Breeze fourth at 45.78m (150-02), and Jacob Reeves fifth at 44.79m (146-11).
- Graham Schultz had a personal record with his third-place finish in the 800m, running a 1:57.07.
- Kai Smith had two top-10 finishes at 21.49 seconds in the 200m for sixth, plus seventh in the 400m at 48.64 seconds.
- In the 3000m steeplechase, Connor Kinch finished seventh at 9:50.99 and Tristan Dutton was close behind with a 9.59.04 personal record to end up ninth.
Women
- Leah Snyder was a top finisher in the 3000m steeplechase, taking the silver with her 12.26.15 personal record.
- Emma Christman finished 21st in the triple jump at 10.49m (45-5).
- Kailey Jarboe posted a 27th-place finish in the discus throw at 31.75m (104-2).

- The Sea Gulls get a few weeks off before returning to compete in the Ebanks Invitational hosted by George Mason Univeristy in Fairfax, Va., on Friday and Saturday April 5-6.
