WINCHESTER, Va. –
Marlyse Haack of the Salisbury University track and field teams competed to improve her indoor long jump marks ahead of national qualification at the South Region NCAA Final Qualifier on Saturday afternoon at the Wilkins Center on the campus of Shenandoah University.

Haack, the season's Coast-to-Coast Athletic Conference (C2C) indoor gold medalist and school recordholder in the indoor long jump, turned in her best numbers on her fifth of six jumps on the day at 5.35 meters (17-6.75). She finished third of the six athletes who competed in the event at Shenandoah.

Haack and the rest of the Sea Gulls will wait and see if they qualify for the 2024 NCAA Division III Indoor Track & Field Championships, set to be held in Virginia Beach, Va., next Friday and Saturday. Qualifiers for nationals will be revealed on Sunday.
