SALISBURY, Md. – Four Sea Gull athletes added gold medals to their collections as the Salisbury University track and field teams opened up competition strong at the Coast-to-Coast Athletic Conference (C2C) Outdoor Championships on Friday at the SU Track & Field Complex.

After the first day of events, the Sea Gull men sit in the driver's seat, opening up a sizeable lead at 62 points. Christopher Newport and UC Santa Cruz finished the day tied for second with 36 points apiece, and Mary Washington slotted fourth at eight points.

The Sea Gull women capped the first day in second place with 50 points. CNU slotted first at 69 points, and UCSC took third with 32 points.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Men
- Cameron Hasko completed a career sweep of the javelin throw, winning his fourth consecutive conference championship with a distance of 57.30 meters (188-0). Jacob Reeves finished second behind Hasko at a personal-best 53.74 meters (176-3), while Evan Eickhoff earned points in the event by taking fifth at a personal-best 44.14 meters (144-9).
- Rashawn Markman earned his second career outdoor gold and sixth conference title overall, claiming victory in the long jump with a personal-record distance of 7.07 meters (23-2.5).
- Logan Kelsch successfully defended his league title in the discus throw, winning a second straight gold medal at 49.16 meters (161-3). Mason Breeze (44.88m, 147-3) and Reeves (43.69m, 143-4) finished third and fourth, respectively.
- Peyton Dill earned a silver medal in the pole vault by clearing 3.46 meters (11-4.25).
- Garrett Saboy clocked in at 32:58.35 in the 10,000 meters, finishing fourth.
- Jacob Shelton and Aaron Dufresne each qualified for the finals in the 100 meters. Shelton finished fifth in prelims at 11.08 seconds, while Dufresne set a personal record at 11.17 seconds to take eighth.
Women
- Mia Hill earned the Sea Gulls' first gold medal of the weekend in the long jump, posting a winning mark of 5.34 meters (17-6.25). Marlyse Haack finished close behind Hill in second at 5.28 meters (17-4), while Kennedy Atkins (4.79m, 15-8.75) earned a team point by taking sixth.
- Kailey Jarboe snagged a silver medal in the discus throw at 31.93 meters (104-9) and also picked up a bronze in the javelin throw with a personal record of 23.95 meters (78-7).
- Alyssa Wohlfarth (PR 21.27m, 69-9) and Karia Forvil (19.81m, 65-0) finished fifth and sixth, respectively, behind Jarboe in the javelin throw.
- Anna Bodmer (37:13.80) broke her own school record on the way to crossing second in the 10,000 meters, and Rachel Roberts (39:10.24) also PR'd to take third.
- Atkins led a trio of SU runners to qualify for the finals in the 100 hurdles, finishing fourth in prelims at 16.66 seconds. Taleah Williams (16.72) and Kathleen Mulligan (17.02) also qualified by crossing sixth and seventh, respectively.

- The Sea Gulls will take aim for first place overall on the second and final day of the C2C Outdoor Championships on Saturday beginning at 11 a.m.
