No. 8 Field Hockey dancing in NCAA Tournament once again

INDIANAPOLIS – The No. 8 Salisbury University field hockey team punched its ticket to the NCAA Division III Tournament for the 40th time in program history and 31st in a row, qualifying for the 28-team field as revealed by the NCAA Selection Committee on Sunday night.
 
The Sea Gulls will host Denison University on Wednesday, November 12th at 4 p.m., inside Sea Gull Stadium in NCAA first-round action. Ticket information for Sea Gull Stadium will be announced in the coming days. 
 
If SU advances through the first round, the second and third rounds will be on Nov. 15th and 16th at Christopher Newport University in Newport News, Va. The remaining four teams will meet at Robin L. Sheppard Field in Hartford, Ct., on Nov. 21st and 23rd for the semifinals and national championship game hosted by Trinity College. All games will be streamed on NCAA.com. Salisbury enters the national tournament sporting a 17-2 record and coming off a State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) Championship. The Sea Gulls will now aim for their sixth national championship in program history, having previously won NCAA titles in 1986, 2003, 2004, 2005, and 2009.
