WILLIAMSBURG, Va. – Playing in its second tournament this week, the Salisbury University men's golf team settled in for round one of the Ruckus, hosted by Premier Collegiate Tournaments on Saturday at the Williamsburg National Golf Club.
The Sea Gulls shot a 49-over 337 as a team, good for 11th in the field and three back of 10th-place Ursinus (334).
ROUND NOTES
- Ryan Henneman faired best for the Sea Gulls in the round, shooting a seven-over 79 with a birdie on two to tie for 28th in the field of 62.
- Peter Carnegie slotted 44th after round one with an 11-over 83, picking up a birdie on 11.
- Alex Langford finished one stroke back of Carnegie, shooting a 12-over 84 with birdies on 10 and 14 to tie for 46th.
- Dominic Cahill shot a 19-over 91, placing 59th, while Mason Ellis posted the team's drop score with a 20-over 92 to wrap the day in 60th.
- Parker Pruitt competed as an individual and finished the day tied for 37th with an eight-over 80. Ben Bowen posted a 13-over 85 as an individual, good for a 49th-place tie.
The Sea Gulls will play their second and final round of the Ruckus on Sunday, with tee times tentatively scheduled for 9:30 a.m.
