NEWPORT NEWS, Va. - The Salisbury University Track & Field program put on a strong showing at the Blue & Silver Challenge Saturday afternoon inside TowneBank Stadium hosted by Christopher Newport University.
Women Meet Notes

Hayden Adams earned a 2nd place finish in the javelin throw at 30.08 meters (98-08).
Karia Forvil and
Alyssa Wohlfarth also earned top-five finishes, with Forvil taking 4th at 23.30 meters (76-05) and Wohlfarth at 22.56 meters (74-00).

Emma Smyser placed 2nd in the pole vault at 2.99 meters (9-09.75). Smyser also placed 2nd in the 400-meter with a time of 1:01.34.
- The Sea Gulls earned the top three spots in the long jump.
Mia Hill posted a jump of 5.57 meters (18-03.25), which earned 1st and ranks No. 7 nationally.
Marlyse Haack placed 2nd at 5.36 meters (17-07.00) while
Emma Christman took home 3rd at 5.12 meters (16-09.75). Christman and Haack also took the top two spots in the triple jump. Christman took 1st at 11.17 meters (36-07.75), which placed her 14th nationally. Haack posted a jump of 10.90 meters (35-09.25) in 2nd place, which placed her 23rd nationally.

Kailey Jarboe placed 3rd in the hammer throw at 38.76 meters (127-02).
- The 4x100 meter team of Haack,
Lilly Williams, Christman, and Forvil posted a time of 48.60, which ranks them 14th nationally.

Kennedy Atkins placed 2nd in the 100-meter hurdles with a time of 16.62, which placed her 91st nationally.
- The Sea Gulls took home the top four spots in the 100-meter with Forvil leading the way, earning 1st place with a time of 12.36, which places her 18th nationally. Williams placed 2nd at 12.81, Christman took 3rd at 12.92, and
Julie Thomas placed 4th at 13.15.

Peri Nelson grabbed 2nd place in the 800-meter run at 2:25.92.
- Forvil continued her strong day in the 200-meter, earning 1st place with a time of 25.48, which ranks 17th nationally. Smyser placed 3rd with a time of 26.78, which places her 91st nationally.

Anna Bodmer took 1st place in the 5000-meter run with a time of 17:59.41, which ranks 50th in the nation.
Men Meet Notes

Jacob Reeves placed 2nd in the hammer throw at 46.19 meters (151-06).

Jadon Gaines earned 2nd in the high jump at 1.90 meters (6-02.75). Gaines also placed 2nd in the triple jump at 13.22 meters (43-04.50), which placed him 25th nationally.

Evan Eickhoff tallied a throw of 46.57 meters (152-09) in the javelin, which placed him 2nd and 100th nationally. Reeves took home 4th with a throw of 44.15 meters (144-10).
- The Sea Gulls took home the top three spots in the discus.
Logan Kelsch earned 1st at 48.99 meters (160-08), while
Mason Breeze took 2nd at 45.73 meters (150-00) and Reeves placed 3rd at 44.06 meters (144-06).

JJ McCauley placed 4th in the shot put at 14.55 meters (47-09.00).

Tristan Dutton took home 1st place in the 3000-meter steeplechase at 10:08.08.
- The 4x400 relay team of
Jacob Shelton, Mason Cassady, Aaron Dufresne, and
Kai Smith took home 1st place with a time of 42.04, which ranks 21st nationally.

Justin Freeman and
Connor Kinch placed 1st and 2nd in the 1500-meter run. Freeman placed 1st at 4:03.54, which placed him 99th nationally. Kinch posted a time of 4:05.16, which earned him 2nd.

Andrew Moxley placed 4th in the 110-meter hurdles with a time of 16.84.

Dominic Roddy, Isaiah Rivera, and
Hayden Myers took home the top three spots in the 400-meter. Roddy placed 1st at 49.43 with Rivera in 2nd at 49.50. Myers placed 3rd with a time of 49.74.

Jacob Shelton placed 2nd in the 100-meter with a time of 10.90, which placed him 22nd nationally.
Aaron Dufresne took home 3rd with a time of 11.04.

Cormac Moroney grabbed 1st place in the 800-meter at 1:56.84, which places him 64th in the nation.

Alexander Nelson posted a time of 56.78 in the 400-meter hurdles, which placed him 2nd and 33rd nationally.
Jude Rykaczewski placed 4th with a time of 58.24, which ranked him 73rd in the nation.
- In the 200-meter, Cassady placed 2nd with a time of 22.43 which ranks him 63rd nationally.
- The Sea Gulls placed four runners in the top five of the 5000-meter.
Sam Bodmer earned 1st place with a time of 15:41.73, while
Landon Lewicki took home 3rd at 16:04.50.
Seth Barron and
Gabe Riling placed 4th and 5th with times of 16:15.58 and 16:22.79.
- Roddy, Myers, Rivera, and Freeman posted a time of 3:18.93 in the 4x400 relay which placed them 4th nationally.
The Sea Gulls return to action at the Dalton Ebanks Invitational, which is a two-day event starting on Friday, April 4th.
