CARROLL VALLEY, PA. – The Salisbury University women's golf team earned its first top-five finish at the single-round Gettysburg Spring Invitational on Sunday afternoon at the Carroll Valley Golf Course.
The Sea Gulls shot a 438 as a collective, taking fifth place in the field of seven above sixth-place Dickinson (446) and seventh-place Penn State Altoona (450).
ROUND NOTES
- Isabelle Graham shot a team-best 30-over 101 for the day with a pair of pars, finishing 21st on the individual leaderboard.
- Emma Wivell placed right behind Graham in 22nd with a 31-over 102.
- Cailin McCoy registered a 38-over 109, good for 26th, while Kaeli Newcomb posted a 55-over 126 for 32nd.
- Madison Tipton recorded SU's drop score with a 56-over 127, placing 33rd.
The Sea Gulls will host their first-ever home event on Sunday and Monday at Green Hill Country Club in Quantico, Md. Tee time on both days of the Sea Gull Invitational is slated for 10 a.m.
