Women’s Golf takes fifth in final pre-CWGC tune-up

Brosius matches own program mark with 79, earns second top-five finish

WILLIAMSBURG, Va. – The Salisbury University women's golf team kept a steady rhythm in its final round of action before conference tournament play, finishing fifth after the second round of The Melee, hosted by Premier Collegiate Tournaments on Monday afternoon at Ford's Colony Country Club.

The Sea Gulls carded a two-stroke improvement from round one with a 57-over 345 for the round. SU held onto fifth place out of eight teams, wrapping the 36 holes at a 116-over 692. The mark was the best two-round score in modern women's program history, improving on last month's Bridgewater Invitational score by one stroke.
